Useful Stain Removal Tips
You can create homemade stain removal remedies to get out carpet stains. You do not have to worry about purchasing a carpet cleaning solution or calling the carpet cleaning services for a scrupulous cleaning. Creating homemade stain removal remedies can save you money, not to mention that they can be as effective as the carpet cleaning products you find in the stores or online. Your home carpet cleaning remedies can do the following:
Pet Stain Removal
Pet stains are the hardest stains and odors to get up from the carpet. Of course, there are stain removal products you can purchase from the store, but you can create your own stain removal remedies in no time.
- Use a white rag or paper towels to soak up excess moisture.
- Use ¼ teaspoon of mild laundry detergent and one cup of warm water. Mix these ingredients. Blot on the area.
- Keep repeating the second step until you don't see the any remnants of the stain.
- Mix two tablespoons of ammonia and one cup of water. Blot the area.
- Rinse the area with warm water.
- Repeat step 5.
- Blot the area dry.
- Mix one cup of white vinegar and two cups of water. Blot the area.
- Rinse again.
- You want to get several paper towels, and cover the area with them. Use a heavy and object that will not fade put it on the towels. You'll need to change these towels until the carpet is dry.
Chocolate Stain Removal
Removing chocolate stains can be difficult. Here is one of the useful carpet cleaning tips that I use to remove chocolate stains from my carpet.
- Combine a teaspoon of warm detergent (make sure the detergent doesn't consist of bleaches or alkalies) and a cup of warm water. Then blot the area.
- Do step 1 once again.
- Use a clean sponge, and dip it in water. Blot the area once again.
Red Wine Stain Removal
Red wine stain removal can also be a tough challenge. But there's hope for this as well. Do the following:
- Get a spray bottle, and mix the following. Add one teaspoon dishwashing liquid and one cup of water. Shake the ingredients.
- Spray your remedy lightly. Make you don't saturate the area.
- Get a clean white rag or paper towel. Then blot the area.
Coffee Stain Removal
You can also do coffee stain removal from your carpet or upholstery. Just do the following:
- Use one cup of warm water and mix it with one teaspoon of detergent. The detergent can't contain bleaches or alkalies).
- Combine 2/3 cups of water with 1/3 of white household vinegar.
- Blot the area.
- Use a sponge and dip it in clean water.
- Blot the area.
